Trumpet Resoration

New postby ericjkurowski » Sun Jan 03, 2010 7:24 pm

Question,,
I have an old Silver Strad Bach, thinking about having it redone. Has anyone had a horn restored lately, if so,,, How was the job? How did the horm play after? How much is a fair price? Who does the best work? Any thoughts Good or Bad?
Thanks..
Eric

Hi Eric,

Eddie is NC, orginally from western Pa, I play a 1965 King Model 1040S with a sterling bell and dual bore. Don't recall the guys first name, but he is located in Jeanette, Pa (on the outshirts of town near Grapeville) on Route 130.

The guy has been restoring and finishing horns since early 80's. He's done several horns for me and is honest and does great work. He also plays the bass in a good local Slovenian Band.

Hope this helps, Eddie (910) 382-3840

Hi again Eric,

Just remembered the name of the refinishing/restoration place in Jeanette, Pa. Stemple's Music Center. Owner's name is Tim Stemple.
